As a way to commemorate the conclusion of its tenth season, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines (MPL PH) has announced the first group of players to be inducted into the newly established MPL PH Hall of Legends.

Inaugurated in the course of the current season, the MPL PH Hall of Legends recognizes and honors those players and coaches who have made significant contributions to the league.

The Mobile Legends Hall of Fame inductees were chosen based on three pillars: Strength (gaming performance), Contribution (what they have given to the Mobile Legends esport scene and culture), and Legacy. The inductees were selected after being nominated by fans, casters, media, and fellow players in the league (overall impact in Mobile Legends in the Philippines).

Setsuna “Dogie” Ignacio was at the top of the list of those who were inducted. When asked who they would nominate, current MPL players mentioned his name.

Dogie is commonly considered as a pioneer in the development of Mobile Legends in the Philippines.

Dogie’s contributions as a player, a coach, and a content developer have been essential to the game’s sustained success, and as a result, his induction into the Hall of Legends was an easy decision to make.

Also included on the list is Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog of Smart Omega, as well as multiple title holders Johnmar “OhMyV33nus” Villaluna and Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario of Blacklist International, and Christian “Rafflesia” Fajura, who led his then-team Sunsparks’ to a historic back-to-back championship in Seasons Four and Five.

The other five members of the hall of fame class have left their impact on the Mobile Legends community by winning the first gold medal ever awarded in Southeast Asian competition for Mobile Legends.

Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel, Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Carlito “Ribo” Ribo Jr., Jeniel “Haze” Bata-Anon, and coach Brian “Panda” Lim are the first ten individuals to be inducted into the MPL PH Hall of Legends. They are all members of the 2019 MLBB Sibol.
